LONDON (AFX) - Life insurer Standard Life PLC has confirmed that Alison Reed, the company's finance director, will step down from her post following the company's demutualisation and IPO.

A spokesman for the company told AFX News that a search is underway for a new finance director. 'We are looking to get a FTSE 100 finance director with the same sort of experience,' he said, although he did not rule out an internal appointment.
