The Bengals rookie wide receiver, arrested early Thursday morning by Covington Police, practiced Friday with the team. He was the first player to run off the Paul Brown Stadium field to the locker room. He did not acknowledge a question from a reporter seeking comment.

Henry was arrested at 1:02 a.m. in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street in Covington by two Covington Police officers who had pulled him over for speeding. When officers approached the Chevrolet Equinox, they smelled the odor of marijuana. Henry consented to a body and vehicle search, and police found two baggies of suspected marijuana in his left shoe, according to the police report.

Asked Friday after practice if Henry were going to play Sunday at Detroit, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said tersely: "That's our business. That's my business - my family, my business."

Henry will appear in court Dec. 28 on four traffic charges, including driving with an expired Louisiana driver's license and no proof of auto insurance. Henry, driving a Cadillac Escalade, had been stopped Nov. 2 by Kenton County Police for speeding on southbound Interstate 75 in Erlanger, and cited on the four traffic counts.

The Enquirer was provided with incorrect information Thursday by Ken Easterling, chief prosecutor for the Kenton County Attorney's Office. He said Henry had been pulled over once - on Thursday morning, while driving an Escalade. Phil Taliaferro, Henry's lawyer, confirmed Easterling's information Thursday night.

Covington Police said a copy of the report was not available to the newspaper after 4 p.m. Thursday. Kenton County officers and a court clerk had misspelled Henry's last name on the Nov. 2 report, and it was misfiled. The error was not discovered until Friday.

Five of Henry's 30 receptions have gone for touchdowns, and he has shown the big-play capability the Bengals said he had when they drafted him in the third round from West Virginia.

The Bengals have three other wide receivers on their roster. Kevin Walter is a special teams regular and has 15 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown offensively.

Third-year pro Kelley Washington, the team's third-round pick in the 2003 draft, has five receptions for 49 yards in a limited role. He has dressed for five games and been inactive eight times.

The Bengals already will be challenged in the pass game Sunday. Running back Chris Perry, third on the team with 48 receptions and two receiving touchdowns, is out with a left ankle injury suffered Sunday against Cleveland.
